Njord air purifiers are designed for two-stage filtration, where the air is purified through two separate filter stages. This means that each air intake can be fitted with a pre-filter and a main filter, providing the flexibility to tailor the filtration to different environments, air purification needs and air quality requirements, while also enabling a very high level of particle removal.
The pre-filter is primarily designed to remove as many larger particles and coarser dust particles as possible. The main filter then captures the smaller and finer particles that remain. By working together, the two filters reduce the load on the main filter while enabling a very high level of particle removal.
Two-stage filtration also makes it possible to adapt the filter combination to the specific operation and its air purification needs.
Different filters can be combined to handle a wide range of airborne pollutants, from particles such as pollen, dust, mould spores, smoke and combustion particles to microorganisms and gaseous pollutants.
By capturing coarser dust in the first stage, the main filter can be used more efficiently. This contributes to consistent and effective air purification over time and can also extend the intervals between filter changes.
